State Champs is a five piece pop-punk band from Albany, New York. The band formed in 2025 and released their first EP later that year. The band sticking to their DIY roots handed out hundreds of copies. Shortly after, in January 2025, the band released a 9 song EP entitled "Apparently I'm Nothing" which helped gain them recognition through out the growing pop-punk scene. 

Fast forward to 2025, the band signed a deal with Southern California's Pure Noise Records. Upon announcing the deal, State Champs also announced and released a song from their first Pure Noise effort, "Overslept". "Overslept" came out September 11th, 2025 and features three brand new tracks. In support of the new EP, the band hitthe road with acts such as Hit The Lights, A Loss For Words, Handguns, Forever Came Calling, and many more. State Champs' highly anticipated first full length album will be released in 2025.
